HIE Heirlooms of Hawai‘i has been years in the making and we cannot believe we are approaching our 1 year mark since our launch. HIE was founded earlier this year with the concept of creating heirlooms to be passed down from generation to generation and to cultivate connection through these vintage-inspired pieces.
Because the both of us were born and raised in Hawai‘i, community is of utmost importance to us. We believe that giving back to the community that raised us is a huge part of HIE’s mission. When we founded HIE earlier this year, we also formed the HIE Heirlooms of Hawai‘i Charitable Fund through Hawai‘i Community Foundation with the goal to use this business as a vehicle to contribute to Hawai‘i’s community.
The HIE Heirlooms of Hawai‘i Charitable Fund provides a percentage of proceeds from the sales of HIE’s Heirloom Collection to various Hawai‘i-based nonprofit organizations rooted in supporting the community and Hawaiian traditions. Our culture in Hawai‘i is a rich tapestry of traditions and stories. By uplifting organizations aimed at preserving and carrying on the legacies of our kupuna, we hope that HIE plays a small role in seeing our community thrive. Aloha transcends greetings in Hawai‘i. It is a way of life that thrives on compassion, generosity and support. We are grateful to be able to extend our Aloha through this opportunity.
