We wanted to send a heartfelt mahalo to everyone who joined us for our very first Customer Mahalo Celebration. With Diamond Head as our backdrop, this pau hana gathering was a perfect afternoon filled with lei making, libations, laughter, and most importantly, connectivity.
Whether you've purchased a sarong or a custom heirloom bracelet, you're a part of the HIE community. This private event was created as a way to honor that and to thank you for supporting our journey.
Guests joined HIE founder Meleana Estes for lei making, enjoyed locally sourced refreshments by Chef Nick Erker of Pili Group, and shared meaningful stories rooted in culture, family, and legacy. As a light rain passed through, it felt like a blessing, bringing us all closer together to create a lively and memorable afternoon.
When we were designing our first heirloom bracelets in honor of our children, we never intended to start a fine jewelry company. But since launching HIE Heirlooms of Hawai‘i, we’ve been overwhelmed by the unexpected joy and purpose these trunk show gatherings have brought. What began as something deeply personal has grown into something far more meaningful—grounded in tradition, storytelling, and the shared experiences of the women who wear our pieces.
Thank you all for spending your afternoon with us and for opening up about your families, your histories, and your connection to this beloved island tradition. It is through the encouragement and support of our growing community that the expansion of HIE and these special events have been made possible.
